A Gathering Bringing the World Together to Shape Tomorrow
Since 1851, international Expos have unveiled inventions that changed the course of history—from the telegraph and telephone to the Eiffel Tower and the first computers. For more than 170 years, these exhibitions have given countries opportunities to present their visions of the future and learn from one another, under the supervision of the Paris-based Bureau International des Expositions (BIE).
Expo 2030 Riyadh brings countries together to exchange innovations, share knowledge, and cooperate in tackling common challenges. The exhibition asks one fundamental question: how do we prepare for tomorrow together?
The Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) was established under the 1928 Paris Convention and is the intergovernmental organization responsible for overseeing and regulating Expos around the world.
Riyadh — The Host City
Riyadh is among the world's fastest-growing and developing capitals, undergoing an exceptional transformation that is reshaping its place on the global map. From historic cultural destinations such as Diriyah to ambitious future-oriented projects such as Qiddiya, the capital presents itself as a global center combining authenticity and modernity.
Its unique strategic location adds to this: Riyadh is within an eight-hour flight of around 60% of the world's population, placing it literally at the heart of the world and helping attract more than 42 million visits during the exhibition.
“In 2030, Saudi Arabia stands on the threshold of a stage embodying its achieved ambitions. Expo reflects the scale of the Kingdom's transformation and highlights its weight and influence on the international stage.”

🌿 “Climate Action” Pavilion → Botanical Garden. It will become a botanical garden enriching Riyadh's green landscape and serving the community and researchers alike.
🏟️ “Prosperity for All” Pavilion → Sports Facilities and Meeting Halls. It will become a sports center and multipurpose meeting halls serving Riyadh.
🇸🇦 Saudi Pavilion → Administrative Buildings. It will become an integrated administrative complex, while “Wadi Plaza” remains the project's central gathering space.
