National Center for Family Business Launches Women's Council Initiative to Support Women's Role in Family Business Sustainability

The National Center for Family Business, in cooperation with the King Khalid Foundation, organized a Women in Family Business Council event yesterday evening, attended by businesswomen, female family-business representatives, and sector specialists. The center's CEO, Dr. Aaidh Al-Mubarak, explained that family businesses represent 95% of all businesses in the Kingdom and employ 48% of the workforce, making them a fundamental pillar of national development. He emphasized women's vital role in the sector and the importance of a dedicated platform for women to exchange experience and learn, strengthening their contribution to family businesses' sustainability and development. Princess Nouf bint Mohammed, CEO of the King Khalid Foundation, likewise affirmed the importance of women in family businesses and praised the center's efforts in organizing the event to enhance their participation in developing and sustaining the sector. Rasha Al-Turki, a member of the National Center for Family Business, noted that strengthening women's role is a strategic step toward supporting family-business sustainability and achieving Vision 2030's targets. The Women in Family Business Council aims to highlight women's contribution to family-business sustainability and encourage female leaders to exchange experience, strengthening their role in building a sustainable, prosperous economic future as responsible family-business owners.
