In the heart of the Eastern Province, about 20 kilometers from Abqaiq Governorate, a distinctive industrial city is rising: King Salman Energy Park, “SPARK.” Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman laid its foundation stone in 2018 to create a leading industrial ecosystem connecting the Kingdom to the world through the energy sector. Wholly owned by Saudi Aramco, the city aims to localize supply chains and diversify the national economy, directly supporting Vision 2030 targets.

Managed by SPARK Logistics (a partnership between SPARK and Hutchison Ports), it includes the Middle East's largest private dry port, with world-class warehousing and manufacturing facilities.
From Idea to Reality
Laying the Foundation Stone
Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman announced the city's establishment, and construction began under the supervision of Saudi Aramco as its parent company and sole owner.
A Major Investment Surge
SPARK attracted more than 20 new investments in just one year, with a combined value exceeding $1 billion, bringing cumulative investment to more than $3 billion.
The Present
Infrastructure: 80% Complete
Infrastructure and utilities for the first phase are more than 80% complete, while major international companies continue operating within the city.
Full Completion
The city is expected to reach full operational capacity in three phases, contributing more than $6 billion annually to the Kingdom's GDP.
